  • Road Records believes strongly about free speech in the arts and will try not to censor its artists' music or lyrics.
  • Road Records and Askland Publishing (ASCAP) are not responsible for tracking or paying income tax on client profits from sales.
  • Sessions cancelled less than 24 hours in advance may be charged 50% of the time booked for that session.
  • Studio sessions are not confirmed until 50% down payment has been received
  • We cannot guarantee contracts for any given project. Any information on this site or otherwise is mean to show a track record of previous studio performance only.
  • Down payments are non-refundable.
  • Alcohol and illegal substances are not allowed on or around premise. Any clients which are under the influence will be asked to leave and will be charged for the day's session. The Road Records staff, at their discretion, may cancel entire projects without refund if any client is obnoxiously intoxicated.
  • Road Records provides the master tapes for many projects. These are available to clients at an additional reasonable charge if so desired.
  • Producer's Cut: For all projects produced in-house, 3% of gross sales will go to Road Records retroactive to the first unit sold.
  • Copyright registration is the responsibility of the client. Studio can provide assistance and forms if needed.
  • On flat rate projects the studio will use its choice of studio musicians. If the artist picks the musicians then those sessions will be charged on the clock at regular studio rate.
  • No masters or copies are released from the studio until projects are paid in full through to current work performed.
  • Any advice, legal or otherwise, given by Road Records employees is mean for informational purposes only. Please consult legal counsel for advice on legal issues and contracts.
  • For clients using hard disk recording formats (ie: Pro Tools) the studio often provides hard disk space on its own in-house drives. Clients are ultimately responsible for the archiving of their own audio. Road Records cannot be held responsible for erased drives or deleted audio on drives. Normal studio procedure is to delete audio files from drives when projects are completed. If clients need to archive audio or have backups in case of crashes, they need to purchase their own external SCSI hard drives.
  • Project are considered completed when clients approve final mix and recording. Any subsequent editing or recording is subject to the normal hourly rate.
